No time

Wed Sep 9, 2009, 3:14 PM
Hi

So I haven't done anything for ages. That isn'tgonna change for a while as I'm probably buying a PS3 at the weekend. Hope everyone enjoyed their summer, I did. I'm 21 soon which is weird I guess.

Got loads of little scraps of paper lying around. Need to find some time to get some painting done.

Thats all for now.

Bye

After a massive dry spell in the art department I just uploaded a virtual fuck tonne of shit for people to look at and go "what the fuck is that sposta be!". Feeling pumped and accomplished. Thinking of doing some painting wednesday don't know what yet guess we'll see. Got some feedback on my Rival Consoles t shirt from none other than RYAN LEE WEST (The man who makes the music for those who don't know). He said it looked awesome which has made me incredibly chuffed to bits. Severely enjoyed making T shirts over the weekend tempted to go buy some more and make some non band affiliated but cool designy ones. Have to think on designs though.

Other potential ideas for new art as ever come from the wealth of great inspirational music I've been listening too lately. Albums you don't wanna miss this year so far are:

SWOON by Silversun Pickups
PAIN AGENCY by Sucioperro
CRACK THE SKYE by Mastodon
DUKE PANDEMONIUM by Marmaduke Duke
WAVERING RADIANT by ISIS

On top of that mean lot 2009 looks set to promise new releases from my all time faves BIFFY CLYRO as well as other hotly anticipated albums from OCEANSIZE ILIKETRAINS PAGODA and many more.

All in all I'm in no way short on inspiration.

Some of my ideas are the following:

Finishing that bastard Devil Sketch in my Pad
A series of pictures devoted to the stories of Nick Cave that are told each track on Murder Ballads (Although here is nine original tracks/stories so thats a lot of painting but I could always cherry pick either way expect grizzly murderous pics)
Finish Developing The TOWER idea
Something to do with 1984
A painting of Martin Grech
Making some more Aereogramme/Craig B art
More Nekkid Ladies
More Scribbly maniac messy paintings (They seem more popular)
The BIG SECRET PROJECT
Continue writing my story and maybe put the start of it up here.

As you can see I'll never get all that done but never mind.

Till next Time.

Peace

Always falling short....

Ok so here I am again a few weeks later with very little to show for myself. I was toying with the idea of doing some painting this weekend but I put painting on old for painting. Not anything fun just painting the outside back wall of my newish room. I've spent all easter lazily lying in bed and having a short break with my girlfriend and now works back on the agenda to leech away time from me. Some of my holiday snaps may be "art worthy" even though they are merely a pictures of some ruins taken from funny angles in black and white or sepia.I'll see if i can be assed.

In other news I briefly started writing again although neither of my two storys are anywhere near completion and all the tiny scraps i have havent even been conglomerised yet. I may make a start on this after work this week or not, if you follow me on here you probablyhae picked up what I'mlike by now.

Hope everyones cool.

Peace

Art news

As ever currently kicking around tonnes of ideas for potential quiet weekends. Gonna make a starton some of these tomorrow. Done a few scribbles in a pad lately to draft up a few ideas.

The guitar learning hasn't been going as smoothly as I'd hoped it would. I can't even tune the damn thing right (Im convinced its my tuner but maybe its just me). I will percever with this.

Other noteworthy events are my new accounton Artician.com I've exported my gallery from here and will continue touse both sites for all new work that I do.

I will be doing some painting tomorrow and now that i have the internet back at my disposal will hopefully get stuff up by tomorrow night. If the images aren't too explicit they will also go on facebook.

My biggest pipe dream at the moment however is the idea of buying some fabric paints and making some custom clothes. My main influence for this is a one man band named RIVAL CONSOLES. We shall see how and if I chase this up.

Back?

So 2009 already. Time sneaks up on you if you let it I guess. I think this year I'm gonna try and be more creative. I spent too much time last year lying around doing nothing.

I bought a guitar this weekend with the intention of teaching myself how to play it. Guess we will see how that one goes. So I'm kinda taking a pledge to not bum around so much. From now on starting this week if I'm not out socialising I will be painting or practising. If this is the case maybe my page will actually get some new hits.

Hope everyones Xmas was kool.

Till next time.
